RECORDING OF NEW FULL LENGTH “MELTDOWN” WELL UNDER WAY!!!
Sure, “Four Future Standards” just came out two months ago, but we are already 2/13ths deep into chipping away at “Meltdown”, our 2nd full-length record that we promise will just fucking bury everything before it. It is somewhat conceptual - MELTDOWN having a double meaning of the obvious emotional tides but also in the alchemical sense… the melting down of layers to expose the elemental core. We returned to Mark Rains Station House studio in Echo Park last Sunday to record the 3rd track off the record, “Her Father’s Eyes” which is a delightful tale of projected incest and sexual asphyxiation set to the combined vibe of dub reggae, Chris Isaak, and ABBA. You get no previews other than this hair-pulling vagueness…Though “Why Is It So Hard To Be Good?” is already in the can and we have been playing it live:
